We had an early dinner on Saturday evening.

The first time we are going to Marina Bay Sands. The carpark was rather difficult to find. No signs guiding us to the carpark. Daddy spend alot of time u-turning the car.

But finally, managed to park our car.

Day 7: Perth, Singapore

It was t lahest day in Perth. Daddy and yi mama packed up our luggage and checked out of our apartment.

We spent the morning @ King's Park. The place where you can see the city of Perth.

We were so happy that we can run around everywhere again.

The parks in Aussie are all so child friendly. And the grasses are so soft. We can just run around everywhere.

Daddy and mummy just sit around watching us run

Then we proceed to the playground...

Mummy just sat down at the cafe watched me playing, while enjoying a cup of cuppucino and muffin. And Caden was sleeping on her lap

Okay, it's time to go! Before that let me have my ice cream!

When we reached the airport, Caden was still sleeping. The airport staff guided mummy to grab the strollers.

And again, our lunch was chips. At else, it was the last meal. Mummy was dying to eat mee pok tar. Okay la mummy, just endure a few more hours.

Yi mama bought us all a set of colouring books before boarding the plane.

Mummy was praying hard for a good flight back to Singapore.

Me, as usual, just like at home.

After 3 plus hours of flight, Caden became restless... But I was still hooked on my TV shows. During that hour, mummy began to appreciate the night flight to Perth. LOLx!

Yes! Gong gong and popo will be coming to fetch us all home... Cant wait to see them!

And so, our 7 days holiday had over. Mummy, pls plan our next trip! :-p

Western Aussie Day 6

Day 6: Perth

Mummy tols us that we were able to see kangaroos, wombats, Koala bears,etc.. in this park.

Caversham Wildlife Park is located 30 mins drive north from our apartment.

The kangaroos were all free roaming in this area.

The first thing we do was to have our lunch.

We headed to the famous Cicerello's Fish and Chips. It is famous, but the taste was just so - so

After an hour of shopping, we sat down for our snack. The Crepe!!! and was a Chocolate crepe.. yummy!

After that, we drove back to Perth.

It's late night shopping in Perth on Friday night!! Mummy and yi mama was going to burn their pockets again.

Time to go back to our apartment to have a good rest. It was late already. We will fly back to Singapore the next day

Day 5 : Pemberton and Perth

It was raining in the morning... We were all waiting anxiously for the rain to stop before the Hay tractor came to fetch us to the farm.

Lil Caden Phua Chu Kang was waiting patiently outside the cottage for Mr Rain to go away..

Finally, the rain has stopped. And again, we follow the tractor to the farm.

We had a long 4 hours drive north to Perth City. Before checking into our apartment, mummy and yi mama decided to have some retail therapy...

We are at Harbour Town, the outlet stores! The children running around when the mummies were shopping.

We then checked in our apartment in Perth City before going out for our dinner. We were meeting yi mama's friends who migrated to Aussie.

After 5 days, finally we had a decent chinese food in the local HKG restuarant. Thanks Aunty Serena and Uncle Gavin for this sumptous meal which we had craved for long... yum yum!

Western Aussie Day 4

Early in the morning, daddy got to chop the timber to set up the fire in the fireplace. It was not easy to chop those timber into small pieces.. Daddy, show us how to chop?!!

Then set the fire.The first sleepy head woke up..

We were all amazed to see the donkeys just outside our cottage. Quick, finish my breakfast yogurt before I can run out.

Donkeys!! please come over here..

Stroked the donkeys and feed them carrots

Then we hop onto the hay tractor to go around the farms for feeding the animals.. First stop, the cows! Cows, come here for your hay

That's all for the morning farm activities.. We headed to the Beedelup Fall in the forest... woo.. The forest was cold... Heard that it is always 5 degree lower inside the forest.

For lunch, we will try the local famous Marrons. We went to the one of the local best marron restaurant in that area. It taste like lobster and crayfish. The flesh is sweeter than crayfish but less tender than lobster. So is somewhere in between. Lolx

Then we made our way to take the Pemberton Tram ride into the forest.

This was the stream train which is not in service.

Once the tram has arrived, we hop onto the ride deep into the forest.

After 30mins of ride with a guide, we stop by Cascades Fall..

Back to Pemberton, since we still had some time before the sun set, we decided explore the "BIG" Brook Dam...

Then we decided to drive to the other side of the river bank of the Cascades Fall.

Western Aussie Day 3

3rd Day: Margaret River, Augusta, Pemberton

Our 3rd day in Aussie. We checked out of our apartment in Busselton and move on to Pemberton.

We continued south to Jewel Cave in Magaret River region. But it was closed! So mummy decided that we should go to Lake Cave which was 15 mins drive away.

After guiding us around the cave, the tour guide got us all to sit down inside the cave before he switched off the lights. The reason was to let us have a feel on what is the feeling of the 1st person who came into this cave. Luckily, all of us did not cry.

After the explanation, the tour guide guided us back to the entrance of the cave

After re charging our battery, we got to climb up 200 flights of stairs back to the top!

The cave was an educational visit. After the exploration, we drove southwards to Augusta, Cape Leeuwin. This lighthouse was the one which juju claimed that it was nicer than Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse. And which was true enough!!

Me, the drama queen had took a nice photo with the beautiful lighthouse.

This lighthouse is also situated in between 2 oceans. This is where the 2 oceans meet - Southern Ocean and Indian Ocean. And you can imagine how rough is the sea.

The lighthouse was under some restoration. So we didnt manage to climb up the lighthouse.

Okay.. its time to travel to Pemberton. A quick snap of our car - Hyundai Imax before we set off..

We had a quick fried chicken lunch @ Augusta before travelling for 2-3 hrs to Pemberton.

Here we are @ Pemberton. Since the time allowed us, we visit The Gloucester Tree. One of the 3 tallest trees in the region. This tree was used for fire lookout in the olden times.

We checked into our farmstay @ Pumphill cottages. Mummy cooking soup for the noodles.

Yummy... I ate 2 bowls..

Then the fireplace was setup . And it was comfortable sitting around it. Now we understand why the families always like to gather around the fireplace during winter.

Western Aussie Day 2

2nd day: Dunsborough, Margaret River, Yallingup

Our 2nd day in Aussie. We had a good night sleep in Busselton apartment..

This morning, mummy prepared the breakfast for us which we have bought from the supermarket the day before. Our first destination of the day was Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse which was in Dunsburough. This light house was short and fat.. We heard from ju ju that Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse will be nicer than this.

After that, we went around to explore the compound around the lighthouse.

Our next destination will be Countrylife Farm. There were alot of animals there. Not to forget the merry go round, indoor and outdoor playground too.
Full of rabbits, hamster, chickens, ducks, etc around.

We were all busy feeding carrots to them... That caucasian uncle gave each of us a bucket full of carrots.

Before we left this place, we had a fun time at the big indoor playground. Daddy, mummy and yi mama can rest before we set off to Margaret River for farms hopping.

On the way to Margaret River, we stopped by Yallingup Maze cafe for lunch. There was a big maze here but only suitable for big children.

At Margaret River, we went to a few farms like The Chocolate Company, Nuts and Cereal, etc. to buy some local stuff back to Singapore

We also stop by Candy Cow. This place is a paradise for children . Yi mama bought us some gummies. And I definitely grab the things I like - Ice Cream candy!!

Before heading back to Busselton, we routed to Yallingup to see this magnificent sight of Canal Rocks!!

All of us slept at around 8pm almost everyday. Because there is really nothing much to do at night. That's the reason why Caucasian kids usually sleep at 7+pm.

Day 1: Harvey, Bunbury, Busselton

We have waited for months for today!! Our flight to Perth @ midnight on 1st of Aug...

We had our milk and went to our slumberland.. Mummy was thinking midnight flight was not so bad afterall... hee hee We didnt even had our breakfast on flight since everyone was still sleeping...

Here we are at Perth International Airport!

Caden slept all the way in the car from Perth to Harvey which took us about 1.5 hrs. Our first resting point of our road trip.

We had our lunch @ Stirling Cottage, Harvey. This place should be a beautiful place in Spring and Summer..

Burgers and Sandwiches, chips and hotdogs!

There were also orange trees in this compound. We are so interested and tempt to pluck one out for our breakfast orange juice. This was the 1st time we saw oranges on the tree.

We were ready to set off now!!

Say cheese! and bye to Harvey.

Driving 1 hr south to Bundury Dolphin Discovery Centre. We reached there around 1.30pm but too bad, during winter, it closed at 2pm.. So disappointed.

What to do? Lets proceed to check into our apartment in Busselton. Again, another hour drive there.

Before that, we visited Busselton Jetty. This jetty stretched 2km out to the ocean and at the end of the jetty, we can take an elevator down to see the underwater world. But it was not open due to restoration. We can only walk around the jetty and shop for soveniers.

We are going to our retreat in Bintan.. We will spend our next 3 days in Nirwana Gardens Resort. One year ago, we went to Bintan Lagoon Resort with gong gong and popo...

We had a quick lunch before boarding the ferry. After 1 hour of ferry ride, we finally reached Nirwana Gardens.

We explored the area around the resort to see what are we going to do for the next 3 days.

After that piece of chocolate cream cake, I became a dirty pussy cat!

The 2nd morning , the 2 little piglets were still sleeping although it was already quite late in the morning.

Time to wake u for brekkie!!!

Then it started to rain really heavy. We got ot find some indoor activities to keep us occupy.

We wet to the bowling centre for a free game of bowling.

Like Father like Son!

The rain has finally stopped. We make our way to the beach again to play sands. Luckily we brought our barang barang here...

After that, we proceed to the elephant show and pony riding by taking the free shuttle in the resort.

After all the activities, we went for a swim again.

This time, we went to the adult pool with our float!

Daddy joined us today!
Then we went to The Kelong for a sumptious chinese dinner.

Fried mee, cereal prawns, etc.. yummy!

The next morning, we had our breakfast then back to our room to do the pack up before going to the ferry terminal.

While waiting for the ferry, we had our milk.

When the 3 of us woke up is already 6pm. After dressing up, we rush down to Bottle Tree Yishun. Three is alot of stuff for children. But since is already 7pm, we have no chance to really go around the place. And everyone of us is reallllly hungry!!

Nice nice weather today.. No sun... Mummy's favourite weather. Good for outings...

Where to go? HORT PARK. Been there once, but bcos of the hot hot weather, mummy decided to head back home rather than becoming 'chao ta' there...

We are more or less settling down after little Rayden has arrived. And mummy will be back to work this coming Wednesday after 4 months of hosp leave and 4 months of maternity( Wo... a total of 8 months)

We woke up early that day because everyone of us got to attend the tea ceremony of God auntie Agnes in the hotel. And this is the time mummy get to drink the red date tea from a bride and groom... hee hee.. because mummy and daddy is the youngest of the family. No chance to drink lah.. Jiu jiu brought gong gong and popo to Perth for 1 week.

I was pestering daddy to bring me to the airport in the morning at the hospital.

I have been down with high fever and bad coughing since last saturday. It has been a week and daddy brought me to see Dr Tan. We took an xray and confirm that I have pneumonia. Was ask to admit to KKH immediately.

All the doctors commented that I am too active to have pneumonia.. hee hee..

So after a 3 days 2 nights stay in KKH. My feveer has finally gone...
But need to take another xray in 2 weeks time to make sure that I am well again...

Tommorrow is my Birthday. I am finally 3 years old tomorrow lo!!!

Mummy has already booked 2 hotel rooms in Sentosa to celebrate my birthday with popo and gong gong. BUT..... mummy is too weak to go Sentosa now.. So, we got to postpone our retreat!

Today, I have a mini celebration in school with my classmates. Daddy brought me to order my birthday cake on wednesday night. I choose the cake myself. Mummy commented that my cake is so boyish... 2 cars and 1 doraemon.. hahaha...Singing of birthday songs!

Changi Broadwalk

The weather seems to be good recently, Not too hot. Daddy decided that we shall have an outing today to Changi Broadwalk.

Didi was the first to wake up today and I wake up around 8.15am.

We set off to Changi Village and mummy get down to buy breakfast for us. The we ate the breakfast at the entrance of the broadwalk. Then we started to walk down the broadwalk
Alot of people fishing along the way I am looking at all the ships and fishes

Caden is learning to talk

Kids are interesting.... They like to learn from kids...

For Caden, I have been prompting him to say a few simple words.. But he always look at me refuse to open his mouth.

Reina and Caden are sitting at the back of the car now. And as I am pregnant, I dont wish to squeeze at the back with them. So Reina is the "lau da jie" in the car now. She likes to play with her didi... When Caden cries, she will pass him toys, books, etc And she will read to her didi...pointing at the pics in the books " Caden say AP-PLE, COW, BALL" and Caden will repeat after her....

Caden will only wants to communicate with Reina..

Now, when I show Caden an Apple, he will say " AP-PLE" and so on... I point to the fishes and tell Caden "Fish-es" he will say "ssss" hahahaha

So I shall let Reina the teacher to teach Caden how to talk... hahaha

She classified objects by physical features eg. sorts objects accordingly to common physical features, comments on the similarities among objects in colour. She uses words to describe the characteristics of a dinosaur - "big". She is able to give words that begins with C sound (Clever cat) and many more. Reina recognise letters and numbers and knows the sounds letters make. Well done!

Aesthetic & creative development:
Reina exhibits creative development. She is able to see possibilities and alternatives that are not immediately apparent. She has imagination, which she uses to engage in fantasies play of all kinds.

Social Emotional Development:
Reina demonstrates independence eg. choose and returns toys and utensils independently. She seeks and joins other children playing in the gross motor area. She plays primarily with Joshua. She follows expectations such as sitting and listening when the teacher is telling a story. She gets involved in classroom materials without teacher prompting. Mummy finally planned an outing for us again after so many weeks. Here we are to Singapore Science Centre.

There is a big big dinosaur outside the centre which didi was so scare of it.Mummy bought this extension for me to stand. So that daddy dun need to carry me so much.

The first half of the day was a boring one... Nothing interest me.. then mummy decided that we shall go for lunch as mummy need some rest.

After lunch, we went to the hall just for us little children...

We had an early celebration for daddy in Waraku Restuarant @ East Coast Park yesterday.

The food was so yummy! I ate so much yesterday and so was didi...

Didi just recovered from his viral fever and his appetite is not good. And finally , he started to eat something yesterday. I guess the Chawamushi was so nice that trigger Caden's appetite.

Hong Kong Day 5 - 02/05/09

Today is the last day in Hong Kong.

We met Anutie Chloe at the local cafe for breakfast before we proceed to Wong Ta Sin. I had a great time with my new friends there.

The pond is full of turtles. We took a photo with Auntie Chloe family.

Then mummy's turn.

After that, we had to rush to the airport.

Mummy do a last minute shopping in the airport. While I was busying taking photo outside the DisneyLand shop.

And then, up on board, milk time for me while watching cartoon.

After that, daddy took out the colouring set bought at the DisneyLand shop in the airport just now. Mummy wanted to buy this set to entertain me on board. Because I was pesterng her while on the flight to Hong Kong. Luckily she remember to buy it just before we board the plane.

Its meal time.. Chicken fingers! My favourite!

Home Sweet Home....

Hong Kong Day 4 - 01/05/09

We are going up the mountain again.

Early in the morning, we took a Ngong Ping cable car ride up to the mountain in Lantau Island to see the world's tallest, outdoor, seated bronze Gaint Buddha and to Po Lin Monastery.

We had our vegeterian lunch at Po Lin Monastery.
Daddy wanted to climb the 268 steps to reach the platform where the Buddha is seated. Mummy say No-No to it. So Daddy went up alone.

We enjoyed ourselves at the village of Ngong Ping with this cold cold Yang Zhi Gan Lu

In the afternoon, we went to the Snoopy World in Sha Tin. And the shopping centre here is packed with so many people.. 吓死人... Daddy and mummy took me to the Snoppy World before she do some quick shopping and leave this place!

In the evening, we went to Harbour City. We suppose to meet mummy's cousin as he is working in Hong Kong. But he went on business trip to Singapore. So we meet his wife Auntie Chloe, Erico jie jie and Brayden gor gor.

And we decided to go to Wong Ta Sin tomorrow morning together before going back to Singapore.

Hong Kong Day 3 - 30/04/09

Breakfast today was porridge for daddy and mummy and pinapple bun for me! I like the bun.. so soft
Then we head to Ocean Park!

We went back to the hotel for a shower before we proceed to our next destination - Avenue of Stars. At around 8pm, we can watch A Symphony of Lights along the stretch.

We will spend a whole day in DisneyLand today. Mickey mouse, here we come.

Hong Kong Day 1 - 28/04/09

This is the day that i took my maiden flight to HONG KONG!!!

We were at the airport around 9am and we had our breakfast together with gong gong and popo.

After waving bye bye to gong gong, popo and didi, mummy suddenly was kinda sad. Because we left didi behind in Singapore. She told us that next time, we definitely will bring the whole family along.

Inside the airport, there are actually quite a number place for children to explore.

Because we went in late, we can only go to a 2 places.

1st, the Koi pond

Then the butterfly park.

I was telling mummy that I want to see aeroplane, so they brought me here

In the plane, I manage to catch a short nap after my lunch so that daddy and mummy can relax themelves without needing to entertain me. hee hee

After the 3.5 hrs flight, we finally reach Hong Kong. I keep on saying "香港, 香港" . haha

We took an airport express train to the town.After checking into the hotel, the 1st place we wanted to go is THE PEAK. Mummy brought us to take a ferry over to Hong Kong Island as I wanted to "坐船, 坐船"
And then a tram up to the peak.

We are up on THE PEAK. It is so windy and cold up here... Better put on my sweater before I catch a cold here. Up here, we have a good view of Hong Kong. Not forgetting to take a family photo here.

Mummy is finally back from Seoul and Shenzhen. So she decide that the whole family should go out for a good breakfast. Daddy then drove us all to Bishan Cafe Cartel so that mummy can do some marketing after this.

We like bread so much. While daddy and mummy is deciding what to eat for breakfast. We are busy eating the bread....

Finally, our bintin trip is here. Early in the morning, daddy brought us to Macdonald in Kovan for breakfast. Me and didi amused ourselves by drumming on the table.In Tenah Merah Ferry Terminal
Arrived in Bintan Lagoon Resort. Playing with the drums while waiting to check into our villa.Didi is very interested with the stairs. going up and down and up and down.
Then started to play toys with jie jieWhile the adults are busy preparing the BBQ food for tonight. Finally it is time to BBQThe chef of the day

We celebrated gong gong birthday in the Italian Restuarant inside the hotel.After that, the highlights of the day is our "Fireflies tour"

We have to put on the life vest before going up to the sampang. After that the sampang set off into the mangrove swamp. We can see alot of fireflies along the 2 river banks. They allow us to catch the firefly into the container to bring back to our hotel. But the tour guide told us that the fireflies will commit suicide 5 hours later after leaving the forest. This is the 1st time we saw fireflies. So excited! The whole journey took about 1 hour.

On the last day morning, me and didi wake up very early. Gong gong and popo brought us to see the sunrise at the beach. And the lazy mummy happily sleeping inside her room.

After 8am, mummy woke up and brought me to the beach again to play bubbles.Then we went to Pasar Oleh Oleh for Indonesian lunch. There is a children game room with afew kiddy rides for us to enjoy.
and so, the holiday is over...

Mummy's forum mate finally get hold of the JG's trial which can only be on a weekday. Anyway, mummy and daddy already took leave today as popo is still on leave (holiday).

Initially, we have 10 bubs.. but 4 are down. So we are left with 6 strong bubs here.

Everyone is enjoying.. We have sing along, story times, painting, free play, snack time and sing along again. But this time is live band....

Today is the lunar birthday for Caden.

We had a mini birthday celebration for didi in Swensen just now.

After we are done with our grocery shopping in cold Storage, we made our way to the ice cream restuarant.

We had a Happy Birthday FireHouse and my San Francisco Tower ice cream. yummy!

I enjoyed the ice cream more than didi as he can only eat the banana slice instead of the ice cream.. hahaha.... Mummy ate the whole bowl of the firehouse ice cream....

Didi must be wondering whether is this celebration for him or us?!!! kekekeke..

Mummy promised to see more animals today. This morning we head to Animals Resort in Seletar Way . It is actually very near to our house. On the way there,

Mummy: Yinyin, later you should be able to see goat, rabbits, chicken... etc

Yinyin: I wan to see crocodile..

Mummy: I dont think there is crocodile.

Yinyin: eh... I want to see lizard (referring to that monitor lizard last week)

Mummy: No la. I dont think you can see it today.

Yinyin: eh... I wan go airport see aeroplane

Daddy: I thought you had already been to airport last night to fetch yi mama?

Yinyin: eh.. I want to see helicopter.

Mummy: .... (better keep quiet.. getting very out of the topic)

then Caden fell asleep in the car.. Jie jie must be very lo-soh... hahaha

We had a briefing by the staff of the resort.

Then daddy bought food from the counter and we start to feed the animals and fishes all around the park.

Today, again another outing for the weekend to Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.

The road inside is so bumpy. Mummy regret bringing the stroller. But who knows, if she carry Caden in, she will also regret. Hee Hee Poor daddy got to carry me throughout the walk.

Caden : Mummy, I am getting headeache. The road is so bumpy.

Then mummy decide to carry Caden. And my turn to sit on the stroller. One of the viewing area. Malaysia is just opposite us.

And we saw this huge spider which is red in colour! And I started to sing "Ipsy wipsy spider climbed up the water spout. Down came the rain and washed poor ipsy out. Out came the sun and dried up all the rain. And the ipsy wipsy spider climbed the spout again"

Then suddenly a huge giant creature dashed across the pavement.

Mummy: oh Yinyin, what's that?! .
Me: Is that a dinosaur?!
Mummy: (laughing)
Daddy: Noooooo.. It is a monitor lizard.

After about 1-2 hours of nature walk. We were finally back to our car. Mummy was so so so so tire.
Then she was calling jiujiu. Then I kaypoh also wants to talk to juju.
Jiujiu: yinyin, what did you see?
Me: I see lizard over there.
Jiujiu: oh you see a monitor lizard ah! What else did you see?!
Me: Spider!
Jiujiu: Was it a big or a small spider?
Me: Da Da (Big big) spider!!
Me: Bye bye jiujiu, see you again!

Then I saw mummy and daddy drinking juices
Me: I want, I want.. Share? (snatch the apple juice and swallow a big mouthful of it.
Mummy: this girl ah, only know how to share if it is at her advantage.
Me: Hmmm... Apple Juice.
Mummy:.....

And then we returned home for lunch! Today, lunch is curry chicken which mummy has prepared earlier this morning and of coz, it is not for me and didi.

East Coast Park

Finally I have recovered from my flu. But Caden is still coughing and went to see Dr Tan again yesterday night as mummy afraid that he might have recurrent bronchitis. Luckily his lungs are still clear.

This morning the sun was hiding in the cloud and we decided to go for a workout in East Coast Park for some fresh air. We had our MacDonald brekkie in the car on the way to the park.

Mummy and daddy rented a bicycle each and lobang didi and myself. I saw the children's remote car and motorbike. I want to ride!! Maybe next time.

We had a nice ride from MacDonald area to Bedok Jetty. On the way, there is this water skiing area. We stop there for about 10 minutes.

And then we saw people building big big sandcastle at the beach.

On the way back from the Jetty, Caden fell asleep on the bike! Oh no, how are we going to head back?! Mummy was not confident enough. Better swap with Daddy. And Daddy perform a stunt - using one hand to ride the bicycle and the other hand to support Caden's head.

After returning the bicycles, we transferred didi to his stroller for a more comfortable nap.

While Caden was sleeping, I started to dig and build.

After just 15mins, Caden woke up and join me in the sands.

Noon Time! The sun was out! Time to go home... and I fell asleep in the car.

Hong Kong Trip

Yippee!! Mummy and daddy finally decide to bring me to go Hong Kong. I can meet the Disney Character there!!!

As gong gong and popo are not going, Caden will not be coming with us. Only the 3 of us.
Caden will go with us next time when he is older like me. :-p

Now, there is alot of promotion going on. From air ticket to hotel. So mummy grab all the super deals!!!! Novotel is only less than $100 per night.
